In the Mixed League, Wessex Wanderers 2 have been relegated from Division One. With one game remaining they cannot now avoid the drop. Meanwhile in Division Two, Cerne Abbas have recorded their first win of the season with an 8-1 mauling of Charmouth 2 although it won’t lift them from bottom spot. In other results, Charmouth 1 managed to narrowly beat leaders Dorchester 3 and Bishops Caundle lost a close encounter at Crewkerne Hermitage to dent their promotion aspirations.

22nd Mar

Yeovil Graduates took a massive step towards being crowned Champions after defeating their closest rivals Westland 6-3 at the top of Mixed Division One. If they maintain their unbeaten season with a win in their final match against Dorchester 2 they will be crowned champions for the first time since 2005/6.

At the bottom Wessex Wanderers 2 remain without a win despite a couple of close-fought matches and now look certain to be relegated.

Cerne Abbas also remain winless at the foot of Mixed Division Two despite a close match against Portland Red Triangle. There’s no change at the top with Dorchester 3, Charmouth 1 and Bishops Caundle all fighting for promotion.

It seems as though Budmouth have the FourTwo League sewn up and need only 2 more points from their last match to ensure that they cannot be caught by Westland who have a couple of games in hand.

8th Feb

In a very even match, Durnovaria have inflicted a second successive defeat on Yeovil Graduates 1 in the FourTwo League. The teams maintain their relative positions behind Westland and Budmouth who won their respective matches. Bridport Royals slip to 4th following their defeat at the hands of leaders Westland. It’s still very tight at the top with little to choose between the teams but Yeovil Graduates have played more matches than their rivals.

Westland and Yeovil Graduates continue their domination at the top of the Mixed League following convincing victories. However a rare point dropped by Westland to Smallmex could prove vital as the season draws to a close, both in terms of the championship but also for Smallmex in the fight against relegation.

Bridport Royals also move up one place following victory against Wessex Wanderers and the 3 teams are currently equal on points with 46. 11th Oct

How close are the matches in the FourTwo League?
Six of the eight matches played so far have finished 5-4 and a last-gasp win by Yeovil Graduates 1 over Durnovaria sees both teams in joint first place ahead of Wessex Wanderers, with the Yeovil team top on account of having won slighly more games.

Yeovil Graduates are also top of Division One of the Mixed League. Westland are equal on points after two matches but have dropped more games. Smallmex are yet to open their account.

Division Two sees Bishops Caundle slightly ahead of the rest following victory away at Portland Red Triangle.
