Playing in a single group, every pair played each of the other pairs, best of 3 games to 21 points with no setting. Positions would be based on matches won, but if 2 pairs were tied then the result of the match between them would determine the order.
Stephen and Wendy swept all before them as they cruised to victory, but not without a scare as Paul and Angela started strongly winning the first game 21-3 before succumbing to the stronger pair. Alan and Liz Jones tied with Lester and Sandy but beat them in their head-to-head so were ranked in 2nd place. Jim and Emma tried valiantly but their star billing and a -7 handicap made life difficult for them and they finished last.

A very close affair similar to last year’s inaugural tournament.
Josh and Tom were beaten in straight games by Damian and Chris but managed to win their other matches albeit very close affairs to win the tournament overall. Paul and Andy came second despite winning the same number of matches bacause they lost to Josh and Tom. Despite having beaten the eventual winners, Damian and Chris lost their other matches in straight games and finished last behind Chris and Francis.
