Commiserations to Bishops Caundle who for the second year running have been beaten in the Knock-Out Cup Final. Having won the plate competition last time, Wessex Wanderers 2 won the final by 24 points.

Yeovil Graduates have once again finished top of Mixed Division One following an unbeaten season. Winning their final match 18-0 has condemned Prestonians to a play-off against whoever finishes 2nd in Division Two after Wessex Wanderers 1 gained just enough points at Casterbridge to finish above them. Meanwhile Wessex Wanderers 2 finish bottom and are relegated.

In Division Two it is still uncertain who will finish in 2nd spot behind Westland. Currently it is Gryphons 1 who have played all of their matches but they could still be caught by Charmouth 1, though it is unlikely.

13th Jul (AGM)

Westland have re-entered a team into Mixed Division Two.

At the AGM some rule changes were proposed:

  1. To change the rules of the KnockOut Cup to have fixed weeks for the 1st and 2nd rounds where no league matches were allowed.
  2. To modify rule B1(g) to allow new teams to be placed in a division appropriate to their standard.
  3. To modify rule B4(c) to remove the concept of "rubber-points" introduced at the previous AGM.
  4. To further modify rule B4(c) to determine league positions on the basis of games won.

These rules were all carried.

Note that as a result of the latter rule change, the scoresheets for Mixed and FourTwo matches have been modified. Please ensure the correct scoresheets are used this season.
