Playing in a single group, every pair played every other pair in two games to 15 points with no setting. Starting scores in each game were determined according to the combined age of the pair, the greater the total age, the more points were awarded (1 point for every 3 years of age). An additional 2 points were then awarded per division to the weaker pair.
